The India Newborn Action Plan (INAP) was launched by Hon’ble Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan on 18th September, 2014 in New Delhi. It outlines a targeted strategy for accelerating the reduction of preventable newborn deaths and stillbirths in the country. INAP defines the latest evidence on effective interventions which will not only help in reducing the burden of stillbirths and neonatal mortality, but also maternal deaths. With clearly marked timelines for implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and scaling-up of proposed interventions, it is expected that all stakeholders working towards improving newborn health in India will stridently work towards attainment of the goals of “Single Digit NMR by 2030” and “Single Digit SBR by 2030.”The INAP will be implemented within the existing RMNCH+A framework, and guided by the principles of Integration, Equity, Gender, Quality of Care, Convergence, Accountability, and Partnerships. Its strength is built on its six pillars of intervention packages, impacting stillbirths and newborn health. For effective implementation, a systematic plan for monitoring and evaluation has been developed with a list of dashboard indicators.

Did I mention security? Regulating the industry mandating minimum security standards for operating activities could also further protect its workers?

...circulating those monies through the system may also be increased benefits. I haven't talked about any cons although I'm sure there are a number, including potentially making the current issues that we have without legalizing the industry worse. But i don't have enough information to understanding to comment on this. Thank you for reading and thank you Prime Minister Modi and your cabinet for all that you do.

....regular health checks??? I know that it is a culture stigma to talk about this but just given the sheer number of pros vs cons of potentially legalizing / regulating / and mandating certain rules in this industry, I think it is difficult to ignore. Disease control, population control, potential reductions in domestic violence and violence against women, increased living standards for working women and men (to address that segment of the industry as well, not to forget transgender) and....

even though many may argue that it is a need for power rather than sexual desire that leads to rape, perhaps increased sexual activity will reduce the need for such crazily warranted power??? Even if I'm wrong on the above point, legalizing this existing illegal activity that may help the women who voluntarily or involuntarily work in it to access better working conditions, minimum earnings, stronger work place rights, and set up savings accounts to help protect their earnings? Also mandate....

Good morning; of course I have to go off topic even though it may be indirectly related. Recently, an MP advocated for the legalization of prostitution using rationale that legalizing an already existing and relatively large underground industry across the nation would further reduce the disease and pregnancy risks associated with such activity. Additionally, legalizing it may further reduce the number of reported / unreported rape counts that currently occur. I agree with her opinion and.....

Sir, cleft lip and palate is one of the most common facial deformity which has a huge psychosocial and financial impact on families. One of the ways to reduce the incidence of this condition would be early diagnosis in pregnancy by radiologists using simple sonography techniques and terminating pregnancy. It will save huge physical, mental and financial struggle for such families.

i believe the best way to implement a population policy is by incentivise those who follow the 2 child norms and penalise those who flout it. the penalty should be monetary, like a fine for each extra child and excluding such individuals from govtments welfare schemes and subsidies. less people means less loot of natural resourses, environment .less requirement of oil, gas, coal so on .that will bring about more food security as we will have to feed lesser people as well.
