Water is a vital resource for life, and for the economy. Nowadays, one of the most serious challenges to solve and manage the water scarcity. With the depletion of water resources, the demand for quality water is increasing day by day. Water utilities are under pressure to provide good quality water, but are struggling with their outdated infrastructure at the same time. Furthermore, one of the major concerns of water utilities is the increasing wastage and pollution of water bodies caused due to metering errors, leaks, pipe bursts, and industrial waste. To manage all these issues, water utilities have to come up with smart water management solutions and techniques.

IoT may be used in potable water monitoring tools to monitor the quality of tap water in all government owned education institutes and public places. It should be applied in real-time detection of leakages and wastes of factories in rivers and other natural water bodies. It can also be used in monitoring of water level variations in rivers, dams and reservoirs, for proactive disaster management.

Smart water management is the combination of smart hardware, smart solutions, and smart services integrated together to minimize wastage and optimize the utilization. Intelligent use of information and analytics can be leveraged to deliver improved outcomes across the water management lifecycle.

With the help of this discussion platform we request you to share your valuable inputs on how IOT can be used in:

• Demand Forecasting and Allocation of water resources
• Water Quality Testing
• Infrastructure Management
• Improve Preparedness and Response to water management system

Your suggestions on the above topics will help us to make an integrated view and plan of action for Smart Water development by applying IoT and analytics.

1. All houses / commercial complexes / apartment complexes have separate pipes to allow water to flow away. 2. Instead rainwater harvesting must be mandatory. 3. During monsoons, connect these pipes to another set of pipes that go at least 15-20 feet deep below divert rainwater from terraces of buildings in a separate pipeline that ends deep below in ground. 4. Each municipality, corporation, ZP should be given water table improvement target. Financial rewards for towns that show improvement.

In my openion smart water and all the complex names is nothing but most important is to have sustainable management of such important resource and conservation and limited use is important practice like rain water harvesting and ground water recharging is very important because all humans live because of water . It should manodatry for everyone who has supply of water sould install water harvesting system for recharge of ground water . This is my requst to take some action for this.

wastage of water is at peak in residential apartments.people in apartment, who are literates are thinking that if they spend money they can purchase water. the fresh water that is available in the form of lakes rivers etc., is just 0.3%.so i request the central govt. to order state govt to collect the tax twice, if 1 litre of water is used collect 2 litres of tax as in U.S. collect extra tax for consrtructional activities.run a campaign as how to use water at every village city andstate thanks

My idea is simple and best for saving water its underground pot or tank. What is underground pot its simple method what we had learn in school, a natural method of water purifying the water, sand, charcoal method. The same method if we made pot that have capacity of 50 to 1000 litre of water, or it can be more. when rain falls water is every where but we doesn't save it but this simple method dig a mud extra 5 feet so that we can place the pot cover the pot with mud. watch video

To #SaveWater using #IoT All Valves of Pipes Should be implement with water monitoring and Control system. using #IoT technology so that every house can have specific limit of water usage if it goes above the limit the notification should send to user and should also increase bill price so that. fear of rising bill will control the usage this will reduce the waste of water also. if the user cross the maximum allocated limit monitoring valve stop water flow.User can track usage with #IoT on Mobil

re used. water taken from the ground has to be cycled back to ground after usage in case if it cant be re used. this can be achieved either by constructing sink at each house or sink pond for each region. No water from houses has to go to sea or river.

#SaveWater Commonly used Cisterns flush 7 Ltrs of water every time whereas this full flush is usually needed only once daily by a person and for rest of the 5-6 flushes, only half this amount suffices. Proper Dual-Flush tanks are very expensive and the somewhat cheaper Dual-Flush cisterns generally malfunction due to complicated mechanism and scaling. We offer high quality, very effective, easy to install and cheap solution by means of small inserts to be fitted inside Single-Flush cisterns.
