Smart Health has to be designed keeping in mind to improve the health and wellness of our citizens. Smart Health should be able to provides comprehensive medical coverage including medical screenings, providing health care assistance and monitor various vital parameters of patients like subtle changes in pulse, respiration, heart condition, temperature and preventive warning on early onset of pneumonia (in small children) or other life-threatening problems, inside hospitals and at remote patient location including old people's home and ambulance.

What’s more in Smart Health?

• Connect any wearable or portable device to the cloud, pull and analyse collected patient data in real time
• Monitor patients at home using live video and audio streaming
• Monitor vital health indicators collected by portable devices such as smart phones and tablets
• Set intelligent emergency notifications sent to a physician or family
• Charts and diagram visualization based on data collected from health monitoring devices

We need innovative ideas on the following parameters which can be applied to IoT of Smart Healthcare Systems:-

• Inclusion of rural population in the system
• Creating awareness and acceptability of the Smart health
• Identify challenges in implementation

Your suggestions on the above topics will help us to make an integrated view and plan of action for Smart Healthcare system.

All expense should be borne by the school. And from class 6 onwards there should be classes on health and nutrition atleast once in a month like last saturday etc. WHen i was in class IX , seminar on road safety was organised in our school. The tips given there have been very useful even today. So school age is best to teach things...

Sir, another impediment will be the lack of net connectivity in most areas, especially in some of the areas with poor health indicators & hilly terrains. Dedicated Smart phone apps can be tried, but here too better resolution screen with proper signal connectivity is needed, again a problem in some areas of central India. There has to be an increase in mobile towers, better signal, faster implementation of 3G & 4G in all areas with a dedicated nodal center in all villages for telemedicine.

Sir, comprehensive health cover should be mandatory & more needs to be done to promote the insurance offered by the centre, to tag it to Aadhar & JDY, increase awareness of facilities covered under the scheme through street plays, meets at festivals & through village health workers. All streams of medicine need to be encouraged to increase the reach of health care, with patients referred to higher centres if basic care is insufficient. Ambulances need to be made available at strategic points.

Sir, all medical & para-medical courses should include training in using digital platforms with storage & edit facilities. Doctors must be trained in tele medicine usage even during their intern years. Rural posting for all medical / para-medical graduates will help in greater understanding of the problems in rural areas. Also, rural health care facilities need to be upgraded with CSR support of corporate houses. Hospitals with fully functional rural centre can be given tax breaks.

Sir, prior to greater digitisation of healthcare, we urgently need to train medical personnel and adjunct staff on the use of digital platforms. Only a miniscule few are conversant with such protocol. For a diverse nation like ours, a smart card which can be used with a language reader will make all the difference, especially for the under privileged who find it cumbersome to store medical files/images & for migrant workers who can ill afford to spend on healthcare & need to access govt. centres
