How can we stop the ‘brain drain’ wherein we are losing some of the brightest minds to other nations due to lack of suitable opportunities here? At the same time how do we get back those who left India, giving them opportunities whereby they shine and make India proud?

1. Make it mandatory for students to spend say, three months in research as a part of graduation degree. In every capital research lab - BARC, DRDO, NIN etc, create projects and make students a part of them. Ideas for new projects can be crowdsourced. 2. Contracting for IT companies, if done in rupees, will reduce the dependency on weaker rupee and high profits concept. As time progresses, rupee strengthens and the sheen of the west gradually wears down.

The main issues with brain drain are three - lack of research facilities for higher education in India, high pay overseas and low exchange rate. The money you earn overseas may not be sufficient there, but will be more than sufficient if you bring it back to India.
