respected sir, there is nothing going to happen only with the rule imposition by the NGT as we it's not the case of chandigarh but we have to work for our nation to free from this problem if one is going to use it others are also going to follow them without thinking anything. If u can impose a strict rules & make all the municipal corporation to apply that strictly.

Ban on plastic bags and packaging material should me imposed and with this government should take steps to aware people about the harm of using plastic bags.Hot food in plastic bags can also cause cancer as plastic bags may cause chemical filtration into the food which may cause cancer, heart diseases. So the government should completely ban polythene bags all over India to save the life of Indians.

plastic bags have became a basic necessity so for its removal or before putting bann we must first replace it my few suggestions are 1. people must get jute bag at low peice means there must be tax reduction on jute bags 2. jute bags must be made completely compulsory to shopkeepers. 3. packed food items must be stopped they must be availabe with some other alternate like tin box etc.

Ban and penalty is not the way out but the alternative solution should also be provided by the administration, the civil society who has got accustomed to the ready use bags shouldn't face inconvenience on behalf of administration, they need is to launch a drive against pollution from schools to Resident welfare association, trade vendors to shopping malls to make less use of materials that cause hazards for ecology.
