I think to ban plastic bags every businesman must give cloth bag alongwith the products and to them to carry the same for next purchase. this increase the publicity of business as well Will reduce use of plastic bags.

Ban of hazardous product is good but need alternative with all facilitate product should be launch. Ban of plastic(all type of product) gov. should provide non hazardous product with same rate in shops.

before banning anything with which people are habitual, alternatives need to be developed first.

Instead of banning, let us make larger and stronger plastic bags. Why not make the bags sturdy so that people end up reusing them instead of discarding them? We need to take the positive out of the existing problem and tackle it differently. For example, consider a large plastic bag (redefined) that is made of 20 smaller (current) bags. Re employment to ragpickers etc., factories that mass produce such bags should be mandated to employ this group.

1. Ensure that Polythene bags should be supplied by state govt only. This will ensure a monopoly market, so at high price the customer would not want to buy the bags.
2. The bags should be priced at Rs. 5 a piece. Also, at any shop/store/mall, these bags should not be given free with the goods, but rather it should be charged separately from customers.
3. The govt should aggressively promote other bags made of different material, it should give financial help to those who manufacture them.

Ban on polythene is not the best way to controll pollution because it is the best substitute of paper and other so people have to not throw out the used plastic in the open space but they can store it for other purposes or can dump it.ban on polythene will increase the expedition of paper etc. And inducement of plastic is done to controll the paper wastage.so controlled and sensible use is required of polythene and new techniques need to be implemented for recycling and other use of platic.

The best way to ban plastic is to implement more tax on them just now done for cigars in that
We can get tow Benifits as well as economy to government and the way of banning
In cas e of cigars they won't drop because it is addicted but in case the plastics will become more price so they will choose alternate automatically this is my point of view
