It is quite in practicable to control the use of plastic by people.Best way is to ban manufacturing and heavy punishment to defaulters including minimum five years jail.
Also use technology to decompose plastic.Recently an Indian scientist develop such technology using carbon nano tube. Try this.

We can't impose ban on plastic products by enforcing strict masers. People should be explained to minimize the usage of plastic products gradually and for this the schools and college students may be used to educate the people the risks faced by using plastic bags, cups and plastic containers and disposing the same after their usage. Industries and Shops may be encouraged to use bags and containers made out of jute, paper and cloth for packing the materials by giving some incentives.

Dear Hon.PM Sir there should be an alternative to plastics, like Jute which are natural and are biodegradable, would be Great if we can encourage people to use more natural items this would also boost Jute Industries and their workers.
Best Wishes.

This is an area of concern, the more we promote on this that much is harm to ourselvels. We need to encourage alternatives, hand ovwen Jute products as by products. Unlike olden days this has to be encouraged with modern technology. Waste paper shall also be moulded as bags, and other modes of carrying materials will enhance value. Industries should stop using plastic, usging plastic in industries should be fined extra so as to curtail usage. Encourage industries on jute and other alternatives.

If plastic bags are harmful for the people, the ban on the plastic bags should be optional & any other alternative should be introduced & encouraged for the people instead of using plastic bags.
