Our city “LUCKNOW” ranks 3rd on the list of 23 high scoring cities selected for the “FAST TRACK” round.

To update our proposal in order to achieve the benchmark set by the MoUD and the winning cities, we APPEAL THE CITIZENS to engage and provide their suggestions in formulation of the Smart City Proposal for our city Lucknow, which is due to be submitted on April 15, 2016.

In persuasion to achieve the aforesaid, Lucknow Municipal Corporation and the consultants are in the process of upgrading the Smart City Proposal in-line with the requirements and suggestions from the citizens.

The Smart City proposal submitted to MoUD on December 15, 2015 can be accessed through the mentioned link below. Lucknow Municipal Corporation aims to engage citizens for comments and suggestions so that they can be incorporated to formulate a winning proposal.

Manual rickshaw should be replaced with Battery operated or solar rickshaw. This is smart mobility of smart city. Please implement this to Promote Smart cards for all Public Utility Services. If possible integrate it with a Travel Smart Card so that one card meets all needs of common people. Also provide e-wallet in it to increase use of plastic money.

Current scenario of electric supply through the electric pole may be changed and shifting it to the underground network. This will reduce power theft and also provide a cleaner society without the transmission lines visible.

Tackle the stray animal menace as no modern smart city has animals roaming around in its streets. For this purpose, create stray animal centers like zoos outside the city where these animals can be kept, fed and neutered as culling is not an option. Do not release the animals back in the city after neutering, instead the centers must keep them permanently. This will also create animal handler, vet jobs.

Create awareness in general public about these issues through sustained mass reach out programmes via NGO and by government agencies

Move the dairies outside the city as no smart city has dairies with animals inside the city. Sensitize the milk dealers about this issue and compensate them if needed.

TRAFFIC SHOULD BE IN CONTROL FOR THE CITY TO BE A SMART ONE WHICH IS A BIG PROBLEM FOR LUCKNOW. PUBLIC WORKS RELATED TO GOVT. SHOULD BE AUTOMATED WHICH WILL MAKE CITY SMART.HERITAGE PLACES LIKE IMAMBARA, RESIDENCY ETC.SHOULD BE WELL MAINTAINED FOR GOOD TOURISM.

it would take our city to next level in sports, minimize causality as kids would stop playing on streets, physical growth of a child etc. to make our city smart, we need to look after this concern.
