Our city “LUCKNOW” ranks 3rd on the list of 23 high scoring cities selected for the “FAST TRACK” round.

To update our proposal in order to achieve the benchmark set by the MoUD and the winning cities, we APPEAL THE CITIZENS to engage and provide their suggestions in formulation of the Smart City Proposal for our city Lucknow, which is due to be submitted on April 15, 2016.

In persuasion to achieve the aforesaid, Lucknow Municipal Corporation and the consultants are in the process of upgrading the Smart City Proposal in-line with the requirements and suggestions from the citizens.

The Smart City proposal submitted to MoUD on December 15, 2015 can be accessed through the mentioned link below. Lucknow Municipal Corporation aims to engage citizens for comments and suggestions so that they can be incorporated to formulate a winning proposal.

- Plantation of more trees to purify the air which is getting more polluted with every passing day due to increase of vehicular traffic.

With so many monuments especially in the Qaiserbagh area I feel the urge to develop a common recreational area for connecting all the formats in form of a museum. I support Lucknow the art city transforms to a Smart city.

Removal of encroachment from the road side. This should be very carefully done as it should not impact those who earn their livelihood through their shops/outlets on the road side. They might be the only bread earners for their family, so in order to remove the encroachments they should be give an alternative place as a replacement

Maximum utilisation of solar power for street lights and rain water harvesting for water scarcity and also to overcome water logging. This is what a Smart Lucknow should haveStill there are lack of Street Lights in various parts of the city. All street lights should be replaced with LED lights. A well lit city is a Smart City.

We already have cycle tracks in major parts of the city, still they need to be extended in the entire city along with the provision of footpath for the pedestrians. Care needs to be taken that these are not used by other vehicles and prevent their encroachment.
