Our city “LUCKNOW” ranks 3rd on the list of 23 high scoring cities selected for the “FAST TRACK” round.

To update our proposal in order to achieve the benchmark set by the MoUD and the winning cities, we APPEAL THE CITIZENS to engage and provide their suggestions in formulation of the Smart City Proposal for our city Lucknow, which is due to be submitted on April 15, 2016.

In persuasion to achieve the aforesaid, Lucknow Municipal Corporation and the consultants are in the process of upgrading the Smart City Proposal in-line with the requirements and suggestions from the citizens.

The Smart City proposal submitted to MoUD on December 15, 2015 can be accessed through the mentioned link below. Lucknow Municipal Corporation aims to engage citizens for comments and suggestions so that they can be incorporated to formulate a winning proposal.

Encroachments over the foot-paths lead to traffic Jam/congestion. We should help remove them and make our roads wider for traffic to be seamless and transportation/ travel/journey to be joyful.

In a smart city, there should a lot of places where people can entertain themselves such as more malls, parks, amusement parks, gardens, exhibition centers, concert centers, sports centers, restaurants When people will become happy, their stress will go down, health will be better and overall satisfaction will be high. Also these entertainment places will create jobs which will prevent unemployed youth from turning to crime.

Current scenario of electric supply through the electric pole may be changed and shifting it to the underground network. This will reduce power theft and also provide a cleaner society without the transmission lines visible.

In a smart city, dustbins should be installed at every 200 Mtr. There should be temporary bathrooms at every 500 Mtr. CCTV should be installed in the whole city.Proper lightning should be installed in whole of the city.

Promote Smart cards for all Public Utility Services. If possible integrate it with a Travel Smart Card so that one card meets all needs of common people. Also provide e-wallet in it to increase use of plastic money.

1-smart city should be tobbaco free area , the big amount penalty should be charge, who are spliting here and there and smoking anywhere. in my opinion it should be included in crminal activity ,
