I have done a local survey with the Municipal corporation of Varanasi. the problem which has been a hurdle in cleaning of Ghats and Ganga is that the local people are not supportive. the Municiple Commisioner assured be to do the needful and told me that they are doing their best in cleaning the Assi Ghat as well as other ghats but they are not getting the local support. the Sweepers are careless in their jobs. The administration has done several planning on papers but there is no implementation
