Manual scavengers are largely illiterate and have no exposure or aptitude for doing business or taking up self employment ventures.  This makes their rehabilitation in alternative occupations very challenging.

\

What are the ways in which the manual scavengers can be gainfully employed in other occupations, so that they do not return to manual scavenging? Participants may share success stories that they may be aware of.

A major problem in the planning of Rainwater Disposal systems is that when provided at all, only open drains are usually planned which invite the disposal of garbage & solid wastes in them which find it's way to the destination rivers which get clogged with it.Mere providing STP's will not be able to solve ingress of city's garbage in the rivers

Instead of building a statue costing Rs.3000 crores as a tribute to Sardar Patel, please build Biodiversity parks in his name, at least one in each state, along with a research centre for cataloguing and multiplying our indigenous flora and fauna which is our most precious heritage (such as is 'sbeing done by Dr. M S Swaminathan's research centre in Chennai). A statue usually just becomes a resting place for pigeons and crows with an annual cleaning on Jayanti celebrations.

Indian railway has so many scrap on its railway station. I think if railway sell its scrap, it will get money by which it can run new 1000 train and develop at least 500 station as modern railway station. But I cannot understand why the scrap of slippers, tracks, wagons and coach are wondering here and there on railway station and some of them are stolen. If railway sell scrap it will give so many facilities to public as fare cut to modernisation.

Dear Modii, I appreciate your efforts. You have tried to inculcate the sense of ownership in individuals. Teachers are roll models of Students. Like the project "Say no to crackers"though started few years back it had a tremendous impact as even children, who them selves refrained from buying crackers. So Swacch Bharat Campaign should be channelized thru Schools and colleges to give it an effevtive mass movement. Children are the future citizens and they need to be nurtured and cajoled to build a Swacch Bharat.... I am sure this will be effective and easy to drive home the message.

Make driving license a National Feature so that offenders do not get away easily and they are not able to get duplicate license made from a different state. This will act as a serious deterrant. In cases where juveniles and under age boys and girls are cought driving a vehicle with out a proper driving license, their parents driving licnese should be siezed for voilation of law.

Respected P M Sir, When ever I see you on the visit to abroad , in your speech I would like to hear one another aspect for the Indians who resides at there. we ask NRIs to come to india ,invest in India, and so on , As a P M you must say that " there is one important duty of NRIs to be honest & responsible for the belonging country first, and the second duty is towards India. ( we ask money, from them & not saying any word for that country in which they are living & earning seems uncourttious.
