In order to equip them to look after their needs, it is necessary to impart skills to them. Most of them are unskilled and this makes their rehabilitation in alternative occupations very challenging.

What are the ways in which beggars/ destitutes can be skilled and gainfully employed so that they do not return to begging?

Participants may share success stories, as they may be aware of.

1. Identification of beggars in a area or confined region a list should be maintained by the volunteer. 2. Seggregation of data into children, women and men categories. 3. providing work and skill development for men and women NGO's can also be involved. 4.Education for children Teach India (TOI initiative). 5. A proper report from each region must be consolidated and should be signed by a block head again consolidated then by MLA and final report by MP.

Beggars must be identified and they must be provided education with various skills on which they are interested and that will earn them some money for their livelihood.Government must provide market for the products they make. They must be encouraged to lead their own life.In the initial days of rehabilitation government may look after them until they are capable to stand on their own legs...

But cash with government is what the biggest impediment is, hence if not monthly income for individual. Ensure protective care for women beggers, skill development of Children. Sensitizing general population for perceiving beggers not as problem but part of solution for bigger problems. Meanwhile somewhere a study of user charges on something which can fund such pilot initiative of free income. The amount which though appears to big will look small when collateral advantages are counted

Its quite certain that more than 50% of beggars esp. child &women who will receive adequate amount of unconditional funds with just one question- spend on whats best for you- will provide positive result of spending it on something meaningful toward securing tomorrow and not just food, drugs or alcohol. Pilot studies have been done ( see UN portal). Thomas paine, bertrand Russel and many more advocated for right of minimum unconditional income for life of dignity/independence in life span

Begging is not just a requirement but for some people it is a business. This one only can be eliminated by more job creation for these people. For child begging should strictly stopped (forcefully if required). But Ihave a question which answer I can not find is after job creation when these people body cant work; who will help them? how? then it may possible they will again approach to begging. to remove bagging first basic facility should be available, e.g. food, cloth, work, medicine, home.

Beggars are one of the major problems of India. It's impossible in India that you walk a kilometer and you don't find a beggar. I see childrens smaller than the age of 5 begging . India must actually have a strict law against begging . It is destroying the beauty of India . It affects tourism on a Large Scale . This also doesnt mean that we must throw away these beggers , the government must take a positive action towards the beggars . Government must give eligible job to the beggars .
