In order to equip them to look after their needs, it is necessary to impart skills to them. Most of them are unskilled and this makes their rehabilitation in alternative occupations very challenging.

What are the ways in which beggars/ destitutes can be skilled and gainfully employed so that they do not return to begging?

Participants may share success stories, as they may be aware of.

Last date for sending your suggestions is 18th November, 2014.

No facility should be without any cost for any one, whether it is for beggars or any one else. There is a lack self esteem in beggars, rehabilitation can be done through educating them. I know this is a difficult task but united we can do this. I also believe that this responsibility must be taken by every individual. Punishing the beggars and sending them to rehabilitation centers is not sufficient, there is a need to generate the desire of living with pride and dignity.

Monthly address through DD / AIR is a great initiative. This has put private media on notice. Unfortunately private media is forced to look for very-short term gains.

Sir, i donot know in which group this suggestion lies. The group insurance of central govt employee is only for 1.20 lakh (max) which is nothing when compared with the inflation. Rs. 120/- pm is being deducted only. I suggest to increase the group insurance amount to minimum 10 lakh and accordingy the monthly subscription can be increased from Rs. 120 to Rs. 1000 or so. the additional money recd by the govt can be utilised for the development.

Rehabilitation must first include supply of proper nutrition and medication. We see many beggars have skin which is infected. Many a times it is contagious. Thus hygiene should be first targeted. Government can use the places outside city for task of rehabilitation. Organised labour can be created by providing them essential training of various physical tasks. Government must organize distribution of wages and an entire place can be turned into a place where beggars will rehabilitate themselves.

It is pity to note that youth simply coming out from their colleges , schools and wandering for jobs. Many of them converting into criminal activities. Unless this youth not provided with proper work, we cannot expect healthy India. Their services shall be utilized in proper way. Upper casts and majority people are being undermined in education, jobs etc. some prominence shall be given for them too. List of unemployed, shall be with Govt so as to help them in times of need.

If government sweeper is not working than why are they not giving this responsibilities to those beggers who are available 24*7 in a particular place, So I'd say that above 18 years old are eligible to be a member of Swach Bharat Abhiyaan just see in pic she is not begging she is waiting for a hand from Bharat to give opportunity but unfortunately Bharat Sarkar is not giving her chance to serve India. I know every Indian is talented but he or she unemployed Ye durbhagya hain Please give chance
