Land utilisation pattern has to be freezed before deciding on any project involving utilisation of land. Smart cities shall be catering to a small to medium sized population and should be self sufficient one. Except for tourism / religious / visiting people at other places no need must arise for transportation. Even healthcare has to be available within.

1. Smart cities must contain trash bins at every corner. So that cleanliness could be maintained.
2. More and more flyovers and traffic lights should be arranged so as to reduce traffic problem.
3. A great transport system like- metro.
4. Security must be as heavy as possible.
5. There must be well planned distribution of areas among colonies, factories etc. So as to reduce pollution and disturbance in the city.

In smart cities to curb the pollution and reduce vehicle density, we should have a yearly purchasing quota of having maximum No of vehicles in different categories and one has to first buy the license to purchase a vehicle through tendering.
After every 10 years old vehicles should retire from active use and equal no of vehicles has to be inducted again.
This will limit over crowding of automobiles and will encourage usage of public transport in Smart cities.

You have mentioned about traffic intersections.I would request you to have signal free junctions using an intelligent use of single lane flyovers and underpasses. It is observed that as traffic increases along with population density like in cities like Bangalore, junction traffic get blocked due to traffic signals.Let pedestrians use sky-walks at strategic places.

Respected Modi Sir,
I have one suggestion for cleanliness issues faced on every railway station because of waste. There must be the use of latest technology to manage the waste. I have one idea of sensor based dustbin. In this project there will be an image sensor which will sense the object which is waste and the vacuum will suck that waste object which can be used for bio-gas plant as well near every railway station. This is the basic idea sir.
