Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) is glad to inform its citizens that Mangalore has been shortlisted among 100 cities which are ought to be developed as Smart Cities in concurrence to the Smart City Mission Guidelines of MoUD, GOI. Based on the responses received from citizens during Round one and two alongside considering the scheme guidelines, the Corporation has proposed two pan-city proposals, highlighted as below;

1. “One Touch Mangaluru”
2. Smart Utility Management System for water, waste management and electricity

More details of the project are available in the MCC website.

All citizens of Mangaluru are requested to go through the project details and submit their views w.r.t the proposals through www.mygov.in

Last date for submission is 11th December 2015.

Since Mangaluru, is connected with Airport, railway, sea transport definitely Mangaluru will be on top among 20 cities. good proposal really appreciating

In a smart city, economic development and activity is sustainable and rationally incremental by virtue of being based on success-oriented market drivers such as supply and demand. They benefit everybody, including citizens, businesses, the government and the environment.

According to the Smart Cities Counci a real time information should be made that will collect all the data that is collected from sensors – electricity, gas, water, traffic and other government analytics – is carefully compiled and integrated into a smart grid and then fed into computers that can focus on making the city as efficient as possible.

Public information, grievance redressal, electronic service delivery, citizens’ engagement, waste to energy & fuel, waste to compost, 100% treatment of waste water, smart meters & management, monitoring water quality, renewable source of energy, efficient energy and green building, smart parking, intelligent traffic management system.
