Jaipur Municipal Corporation has received overwhelming response from its citizen in smart city suggestions and ideas to improve their city under Smart City Challenge.

As part of citizen engagement & consultation process (for preparation of Smart City Proposal) Jaipur Municipal Corporation organized a wide range of activities - e.g. Ward level consultations, Stakeholders Consultations, Blog writing competition, Logo making competition etc starting from 1stOct 2015 to 30th Nov 2015. Apart from this, other social media tools (Facebook, Twitter, Nagar nigam Website, Smart City Website) used to reach citizens.

Citizen interactions, expert opinions, and deliberations by departments have all contributed to developing this Smart City Proposal. Before the proposal is submitted to MoUD for its kind consideration, all citizens of the city are invited to give their feedback on the proposal developed.

Now comes the innovations and energy efficient cities planning .like solar power use etc.even by common residents - (use subsidy for solar etc.).

With the movement towards smart cities, the urban centers we live in can become more efficient, livable, and sustainable in both the short and long term.

After basic plans in place ,land acquisition must be done in targeted time without compromising with the new city plan designs

Vetting of all basic city planning & Second check on planning by Engineering and Architecture by Faculties of Govt . Engineering and reputed institutes of North india must be exercised

Smart city require: (2)Smart public- use of public services properly, parking at authorised place, no encroachment in streets and road, avoid misuse of services like water, waste water, electricity, Coordinate with govt officials. Keep clean public properties/place. be vigilant for safety. use of traffic signals, help in plantation and its maintenance

Ring road is one of the big step for same to keep the trucks and other heavy vehicles out of jaipur area. But we need to look into it as inside level also after looking at increasing level of vehicles on road. Bangalore is called as garden city where in every second colony a park is present even when Bangalore is hub of IT sector and contains too much population/vehicles
