India is among 51 countries to sign the “Rome Declaration” on “Achieving Self-sufficiency in Safe Blood and blood products based voluntary non-remunerated donation”. Blood is an intrinsic requirement for health care and proper functioning of the health system. National AIDS Control Organization under Department of Health and Family Welfare has been primarily responsible for ensuring provision of safe blood for the country since 1992. National Blood Policy 2003 reiterates firmly the government’s commitment to provide safe and adequate quantity of blood, blood components and blood products.

However, in India, a needy patient or his relatives have to run from pillar to post in search of blood and the onus of procurement of blood still lies with the patient and not with the service provider.

Suggestions are invited on how to develop a nationally coordinated and well networked blood transfusion service in the country and reach 100% voluntary blood donation to enable us to meet the global goal of self sufficiency in blood and blood products.

Dear PM, Annually over 120,000 Indians are diagnosed with blood cancers and another 10,000 children with Thalassemia. Stem cell transplant can save 60 - 80% . The HLA match is ethnicity dependent. Chance of an Indian finding a match in international registries is less than 10% and costs over USD 45,000. If we "Make In India" a registry of stem cells from donated cord blood (20 million births, we can save over 70%. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7pqd_T3164 www.jeevan.org

Sir, Many-many congrats for successfully forming BJP government in J&K. Sir, I wish to share reg. misuse of child care leave being given to women employees. It should only be for the kids only upto 2 years of age. Any women who avail the leave for school going children (being shaved) is not justified. Funds being allotted to the various departments during March should not be given. Number of leave should also be restricted only 10. Attendance machines should also be installed in all deptts.

Dear PMO office: I would like to talk about this incredible opportunity to shape India's population control policy, which is so badly needed & relevant in today's context and an opportunity to showcase to the world as part of the 'Make In India' campaign, a product that is made in India, totally herbal and can define how women approach contraception in India and globally. We have pioneered this product and would like to introduce it to India and the world. It was till now stuck in the corrdiors of political/administrative bueracracy but we hope that now under the BJP govt. we can take this product and India to greater heights. Please contact me if you have any questions or visiti the website if you need more details on the product.M: 09999024628, www.phytonics.com

I hv bn struggling to reduce public expenditure on medical treatment by targeting on the indiscriminate MRP on medicines since 2000.Pack of 10 Tab, which costs Rs. 3-4 has MRP of about Rs. 38-40 or more. Pharma Cos. r paying tax on the wholesale / distributor billing price but the it is sold at MRP.Generic/Patent drugs of same salt of same co. hv same MRP whereas billing price is different. I suggest that all AIIMS/PGI be asked to buy medicines in bulk from Cos. & supply.Patient wl save 40-50%.

I want to ask my Prime Minister about the laws in our country. Due to such laws, we cannot help our citizens. For example : If someone is dying from an accident on road & no one dares to go close to that person suffering because they fear from POLICE. They fear that they will be dragged into that case without having any role. I request Mr. Narendra Modi to reform the laws according to our country INDIA.

Health sector can display list of patients in need of blood donation( with blood groups)at Railway platforms and Bus Stands on regular basis. It will help patients enormously. Another factor is blood group detection of general public.
