Most important - why is it that advanced countries have FULL & FREE MEDICAL CARE of its citizens, but not India. Expect this BJP Govt. to make a Health Policy which includes atleast FREE MEDICAL CARE INSURANCE for atleast Senior Citizens - many die due lack of financial power. Can I please expect this little gasture from Modi Govt.?

NeHA should be able to identify the remote areas where no hospital is available to our rural and urban brothers. The clear plan of five year should be given by Authority highlighting the initiative taken by government and its future plan about medical facility.Ensuring enrolment with in simplest process in respective health centres by entire Indian population covering entire geographical area will ensure the exact data of coverage of the medical facility and should uploaded on NeHA website.

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/ and http://www.webmd.com/ are two very good websites. Need to translate and publish similar information in regional language. Need to educate and train people who can use the NeHA to help the masses. The Quacks hold a big market in India and do lot of harm as doctors are not that big in number. Using Neha we can train people who can prescribe basic medicines or recommend people to specialists.

Overall such initiative will improve care at its base and promote good health in long run and boost care, nursing and utilisation of available and willing resources to the maximum.

If e-health card is linked with Aadhaar Card, the patient’s history is available to hospitals, insurance co’s, government portal, primary health centers and emergency hospitals which are interlinked. Otherwise issue digital Aadhaar Card and incorporate other financial, health, social, education information of the citizen in that Card and make it multipurpose ID.

As we are moving towards digital India steps should be taken where there should be a portal as well as application which can be downloaded in the mobile. Portal should provide the name of government hospitals as well as private hospital located in the near by locality of the patient and availability of generic medicine. And moreover the portal should give information regarding the doctor and his timings and even patient can complain about the problems they have faced.
