With build toilets campaign, I think our focus is very narrow. There are even more dangerous health issues with ill maintained public toilets. The western toilets in Indian system of wet cleaning is absolutely misplaced. It is ideal only for dry toilets, if at all they can be maintained. Unfortunately, the squat toilets, which is even scientifically proven to be a healthier option, are being fast replaced by the western seat designs that does not suit Indian practice.

We all know that Cleaniness is something which is by default there as a mindset/behaviour/liking. However, Starting with Government Officials Cleanliness should be a goal for Each Coounselor/MLA/MLC/MP for their Yearly Performance review to make their area Clean/Hygenic with regular weekly/monthly visits to the their respective locality/constituency and rewarded/Penalise based upon the performance & people feedback about the work carried out. Each Counselor/MLC/MLA/MP should engage with Local residents to make clealiness an utmost need for people healths and for the environment we live in.

I have one suggestion. We have so many corporate companies in india. We can give every company a social responsibility. We provide them some relaxation in electricity, land deal and ask them to build public toilets with water free technology within every 4-5 kilometers. There is huge unemployment, we can provide a dedicated person for cleaning and maintenance of toilets. This will compel a person from peeing here n there. Building toilets is not a big deal for these MNC's and corporate companies

Good initiative by our honourable prime minister ji. Fully support him in his mission. But cleaning our area or surroundings is not enough. Government should also concentrate on proper waste disposal techniques. From the waste one could produce the electricity. So such projects should be developed so that we could dispose maximum waste and transform it into the energy. People should be encouraged to dispose maximum waste so that our surroundings as well as our dustbins...become CLEAN.

It is a initiative which should have been promoted since the day we got independence. Hope that the dream of Swachh Bharat will be fulfilled in the coming years. Here some of the most important aspect which we feel shall be considered is upgradation of the local Municipalities, upliftment of their infrastructure and arrangement of fund for waste management. It seems we jumped into the battleground without any weapons. The system of waste disposal and management is not visible at Jharkhand.

Clean India is a very good motive but the dream of clean India will not be completed just by motives . let us face the fact not all the 100 crore Indians are so much inidan that they are interested in clean India . We need a law to be passed where any citizen found dumping waste in public area will be fined heavily .

When I was in school we were taught that when ever you are travelling or in a space where there is no immediate dustbin available than we either keep chocolate wrappers or empty chip packets in our pockets or in a carry bag n later when a dustbin is available where ever, you dispose the garbage in it.if you are travelling for a political rally n u have eaten a chocolate n dint know where to dispose it ,u should keep it in your pockets n later go home or where ever the dustbin is available .
