Why don't we get our media to start showing footage of people urinating in the open instead of public toilets! Public shame is likely the only way to make a quick change in this horrible thing we do to our own country. The same people traveling to other countries behave themselves and follow rules! Why? Because people in those countries do not do any such thing and there is strict disciplinary action that gets taken if caught. So, showing their footage on channels will curb this to an extent.

Cleanliness Initiative by hon'ble PM himself has been unique. However, as of now, there is no visible impact of the same in a city like Mumbai. In our country there is a greater lack of civic sense among the people and therefore, success of this initiative in its present form will take a very long time to reflect. The people need to be constanly reminded about the cleanliness to make it a habit. Our municipalities have virtually failed on this front. Therefore, best way will be to create a Civic Police cell in every states under home ministry with some good smart and educated yong people to man the allocated areas. Besides educating the people on cleanliness they should have authority penalise the people spreading filth and other nuisense (including encroachment of footpaths, etc.). To fund this, a surcharge of Rs.2 per month can be charged to each family.

PM sir, I am greatly disappointed about the way you are implementing the 'Clean India' initiative. Your initiative is eventualy going to fail and end with your departure from PM office. For success in this initiative you have to think like what a common indian thinks. In nowdays people are getting more self oriented. They donot bother for their society whether it is clean or not. So cleaning a locality by you for one day is not going to change the mind set of a common man. Some strong steps are

Swachh Bharat does not only mean a visual cleanliness, it also should comprise of Corrupt Free & Crime Free India. I have an advice- Let this drive of Government be monitored by a Committee of Prominent Persons of India (Mostly National Awardees) headed by Anna Hazare. This Committee shall not only prepare a scheduled action plan but also monitor the progress on periodical basis and assist the Government to accomplish the purpose.

#DUSTBINS IN CITY : I recently read an article @TOI regarding stolen dustbins that were put by the municipal corp. Even in developed nation like US i heard incidence where dustbins were stolen put by the city so what they did next was very smart. They then replaced the stolen dustbins with disposal bins made of concrete (literally stuck to ground) . I thought that was really smart idea. No one can steal dustbin made of concrete !!! It would be cool if same is done in India by municipality :)

#yeswecan Smile Please-Say Cheese-A solution to Public Urination In India we have huge problem of Public Urination and lot of it is done by educated people. For this i propose a solution that we should take picture of people urinating and publish them in local newspaper. IF we do this for say 10-15 days then people will fear that someone might click their pic and hence they will think twice before urinating at public places.
