Thrikkanamangal Public Library was started in August 17, 947 and was active cultural center for many years. But last 20 years it was unused and become place for dumping filth . Shri. Sreeraj K a School Teacher and social worker with support of 11 volunteers restored its old glory. Last week "Digital Literacy Week" program under NASSCOM and "One Library Per Village " conducted in this Library and more than 180 people participated .http://digitalliteracyweek.blogspot.in

Jai Hind!I agree with Neha Dubey. Introducing dustbins in trains would make the trains lot more cleaner and thus healthy & enjoyable travel. Long journey trains have pantry cars and the plight of the train after lunch or dinner is miserable. People either throw the waste outside the window or put it under the seats or even put it in the corridors (passage between the coaches). I think introducing dustbins and motivating people to use dustbins would bring a large change in cleanliness of trains.

It is very good to start this type of campaign as it needs very much for India, but govt. needs to do some good steps e.g. showing people live example of success of 'Swachh Bharat' campaign so that people will inspire after watching these examples, examples can be taken from any where in India like offices, schools, hospitals etc. These examples can be displayed on roads, news papers, books etc.

I request govt.to spend some money on keeping dustbins in train coaches.People are now well aware about this mission. Please do this to make it success in trains too.

The atmosphere is already made by celebrities by doing some cleaning now its time to take responsibility by NGOs corporates and individuals to take specific responsibility I mean to take responsibility that they will keep clean some particular area on regular basis and thus the task become more easier

Respected Mode Ji, Pranaam! I am a CA (2002) with consulting experience. I want to bring your attention towards a very important aspect of 'Swachh Bharat'. All initiatives i heard till date in this regard are only related to cleaning of garbage from roads, rivers, parks etc. None talks about the beggers and begging. Huge opportunity here. I have a workable project. Beggers can be made self dependent & contribute in lots of other initiatives including agri, Swachh Bharat.

Government should take an initiative to impose a Law for penalising pet (dog) owners if their pets (dogs’) faeces are left on the street. Its very awkard for people who go for an early morning walk, Many of them cut the cakes each morning. I guess, I should start working on research and start an campaign in my area of travelling. Thank you.
