How do you think we can further change our outlook and attitude towards the specially-abled? What efforts do we need to take in bringing them to the mainstream?

In foreign countries, there is a special provision everywhere for the specially abled; like from travelling on roads or seating arrangement in metro rail or trains, or education at school etc. Thus, we have to basically do one main thing for the specially abled i.e to make them feel equal & give them equal rights everywhere so that they donot feel left out in any sector or on any path. Once we adopt this attitude, we will automatically start making provisions for them in the lacking sectors

People should come forward to donate their eyes. The donation procedure should be simple and made available to everyone. In villages even if someone is willing to donate they will not be aware whom to contact. So the eye check up camp people can distribute the information about the eye donation to many people as they are the ones who reaches the villages too..

Indian railways should increase the number of seats for the specially-abled. Though it is most of the times in most of the trains next to the guard, people often find it difficult to locate it. So we should maintain an all India level constant structure for those special couches.

'Specially Abled' are te ones with some Disability. That may be Hearing/Speech/Physical etc. Our families would not discard children with these. In addition, there is one which is not recognized -SEX. A child born TRANSGENDER is discarded by the family and that is taken care of by the separate group of 'Transgenders' - Is that NOT a social Stigma? That child should be taken care of like others in the family. My Suggestion for all unwanted children(whether girl/boy/trans/disabled) is: A Non Govt
