The Prime Minister shared a visionary approach to transform the development journey of our villages in the form of the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. The initiative calls upon MPs to select a village in their constituency and make it a Model Village by 2016. Furthermore, the number of model villages should increase as time progresses so that in a decade a large number of villages become Model Villages across India.

The rationale behind a landmark idea such as this is clear- India lives in the villages and India will only progress when our villages progress. Development of villages can happen best when everybody walks shoulder to shoulder and contributes towards the comprehensive development of the village. And who better than the local Members of Parliament to drive this change!

This specially created forum on MyGov invites out of the box ideas on how the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana can become the driving force in bringing a qualitative difference in our villages. Lets make the development of our villages a grand mass movement and together create a golden future for rural India.

Agriculture is back bone of India. But today it has become least job. Every one wants to study engineering or doctor. Government should give more importance to Agriculture studies. More discounts to students who study agriculture. It will be good if government start a company for agriculture, which owns lands at outer of village , give jobs to students of agriculture, cultivate their own and sell agri products. This is just an idea can develop further.

People from the villages most of the fails to understand the concept of a Adarsh Gram; they fails to visualize it. Being this they always expect the Govt or MPs to give them some idea or initiate some process, and they think they are followers only. But the thing should be the other way round, and for the same villagers need to be encouraged and appreciated/promoted and not the MP's. So more focus are to be given in that direction.

Thanks for such great initiative. Please make mandatory that every MP should have official webpage to link directly and be part of activities. We always find it difficult to connect with MP's for any social tasks.
