River linking should get top priority. It will provide water to areas all over India. The mother earth will look green and food, fodder will be available in plenty. There will be no heat wave during the hot summer also. Life will be sweet all over the country. People can go for work even at mid day. Wind energy should be tapped everywhere to be used locally.Lost man days will be revived and this will lead to more employment.

Animal husbandry should be vigorously encouraged in model village. All villages should have co-op milk cow farming, goatery, bee keeping etc. Local production should be used for local consumption first and supply to urban centers next. Local people should be trained for upkeep of animals from minor health problems and expert should be called in serious cases. All economic activities should be on co-op basis. That will enhance confidence among villagers.

Encroachment of forest land in the model village should stop. All such encroachers should be evicted even if they are tribal. All should get employment in forests irrespective of castes. People should be allowed to stay in concrete huts in forests with families. Felling of living trees should not be permitted and should become a punishable offence. Dry leaves can be collected for fuel purposes. F cultivation should be encouraged.

Every model village should have herbal gardens and all varieties of locally usable medicinal plants have to be grown in every village to avoid dependence on costly medicines for minor ailments. All employment of the village must be given to villagers alone and unfilled vacancies may be given to neighbors. Encroachment from other people from far off places on the ground of constitutional rights will be discouraged.

Now huge area of land is remaining fully uncultivated due to shortage of water. Villagers will feel happy to cultivate their land because they are assured of sufficient water at times of need. Cooperative farming should be introduced in agriculture so that people will take it as employment in coop farming. They get their wages as well as share from profit from agriculture. The person who contributes land will get preference in employment.

Fish production will improve and more people will find employment. When water is preserved through River linking, surplus water is supplied to dry area and the entire country looks green. In summer almost all dugwells and pond in rural and urban area become dry. In River linking is made, surplus water can be diverted to fill these wells and pond and villagers get irrigation at door step. This will enhance confidence of people to go for cultivation.

More people will be employed in producing food grains and other cash crops. Water will be supplied from surplus area through River linking to deficit area and thus flood and draught can be averted in one go. When rivers are linked, villages will be linked through water transport. People will travel by boats to shorter distances and dependence on fuel driven road vehicles will go down. This will reduce pollution in villages.
